Awoke to Aphids taking over our tomato garden!?

Hi, we woke up the other morning and found aphids all over our tomato leaves. My husband read online to spray a mixture of canola oil, soap, and water and that this would kill the aphids. It worked but some. (most but not all) of the leaves are dried out and dead. Will these leaves regenerate? Are our tomato plants gonners? Help if you can! I'd like to have tomatoes this summer!!
